Pros

Increase in starting pay/hr since worked bannister location, health benefits able to continue after you go in non work status your payment is deffered till you come back next season or take it out of your tax if you go into default, pay for bus option, you get you bundle of taxes of 50 or 100 enter info all day long so your work is there, allowed to wear head phones based on manager, if you dont get frustrated easily and open to learn there system very easy job and practice 10 key at home i'm self taught, thrift saving plan automatic contribution

Cons

need to make changes in how they do things work sporadically different seasons for years need update change. but you have a lot of employees that have been there a long time and the union that wont allow change. alot of immaturity negativity from employees that been there for long time and they have the mentality the job owes them something over you because they were there first never mind I am more qualified and more experienced dont keep employees informed have to find someone to know stuff to figure stuff out....about who you know and its usually someone who has been there a long time who may or may not want divulge all the info

Pros

-Got me started in my career as an auditor -thorough tax law training -many senior auditors helping you learn the profession

Cons

-communication from management is not always transparent -when you are at the bottom of the ladder, you get verbal abuse from not only POA and taxpayers (understandable, given this is the IRS), but also management/OJI's. They want to look good to their bosses and will throw you under the bus if they have to in order to save themselves. Even if they gave you instructions that got you in trouble. They SHOULD be supporting you in your function as an auditor, but they'll do whatever is easiest for themselves ultimately. -on job training can be disorganized -bureaucratic culture -like many other companies, a lot of things you're expected to learn by yourself. Such as how to avoid POA delays.
