      Good People Mid Management--Awful leadership and direction - Business Development Manager ITW Employee Review

      Pros

      There are some great people in the accounting, sales, marketing, and operations.

      Cons

      Leadership does not work well with employees. In my five years, I NEVER once heard a sales employee who was happy with their manager. Previous leadership was not very capable but good people, new leadership is extremely capable--however they are also cold, mean spirited, closed to employees, and hired to fire. Having spent direct time with the newest VP I knew there was no way anyone but a "YES" man/woman can work .

      Pros

      Great co-workers; smart people who are dedicated to doing good work. There is a general kindness and everyone seems willing to help each other.

      Cons

      The pay is low, and everyone seems stretched thin. There is little structure to ensure local leaders follow good practices. Evaluation of performance tends to be highly subjective. There seems to be very little management of the management.
