Pros
You get to reflect on your experiences abroad, and therefore develop your own reasoning for why studying abroad is useful for personal and professional growth. The advisors and staff are supportive and train you very well. The schedule is very flexible since all of the peer counselors are students, and so the ability to work shifts in between classes or after them is a great aspect of the position. Also, you don't have to work weekends, but might work some evenings.
Cons
There are a number of peer counselors, so if you're looking for a lot of income to pay for rent or other higher costs of living, then it's not going to fulfill your fiscal needs. However, since you don't work weekends, or most evenings you could still get another part time job and not feel more overworked than you would just working a serving or retail job.
