      Pros

      R1 university with lots of resources, great students, and colleagues. Bloomington is also a great college town

      Cons

      Academic units are siloed (common at universities) due to tuition dollars following the students. Trying to fix it. Also, the current president does not know how to manage academics. Listening is required before buy-in.

      Amazing role fun to be part of the team that helps students.

      Requires active communication at all times which can be a little difficult to do with students who don't want to speak up.

      Didn’t train me on programs and procedures, then refused to hire me on full time due to my not knowing programs and procedures.
