Pros
High quality health care in most areas.
Cons
Since IU took over, the company is totally greed based. They have cut benifits and pay to their employees. If you do some research, you'll find hospital employees actually pay more than most companies for health insurance. IU passes the real costs along to the employees and banks their contributions. If they don't use that, they get their contribution back. The company blames Health Care Reform on their shortfalls and reductions while posting record profits. They consistently build new 200 million dollar buildings but don't have money for staff. The new IU management is cut throat, not using logic to keep the best people. It's all about numbers and hoarding money for a few at the top. The CEO and COO make a combined 8 million a year, more than any other health company in the Midwest. Also be careful donating to Riley. The are happy to take your money, but where's it going to. They take in many millions a year, but still bill full price. IU Health also charges triple for test. For example, a HIDA Scan at IU Saxony is $2000 plus the radiologists fee. At North Side Radiology, the same test is $760 (including the radiologists fee). Remember, they are greed based, they don't care about you.
