Exposure to a larger variety of inspection equipment than a typical inspection role. Flexible schedule.

Aggressive due dates. High expectations and the pay is not great by any means. Seniority is very important and rewarded vs the skill of one's work. IT and management support/review is lacking. Benefits are lacking.
