Pros
Infosys represents a good option for junior folks that did not make the cut for a premium firm or for those who seek an opportunity to get consulting experience without an MBA as lateral hires for their background in a specific vertical. You can learn a lot about large scale technology projects and Infosys is a save job.
Cons
Shibu the now CEO was asked in a company meeting attended by a good 1000 folks in 2008 if his vision for Infosys was that of a great company or a big company. His reply was: "you have to be big to be great". I think that sums it up quite nicely. Infosys has manged to evade any notion of modern management since the departure of Nandan, the former CEO and the culture has migrated more and more towards growth at any cost in the 6 years I have been there. Mix that with a bit of Indian authoritarian chauvinism and 1950"s highly hierarchical management style and you have a company that makes money but struggles to attract and keep the best. Women: No senior roles for you....
