Pros

WFH Can work in office if I want, but primarily work from home Assigned to projects that vary in experience - definitely challenges you and pads your resume Friendly community and plenty of free opportunities to pursue your interests within tech. Infosys is eager to help you grow your career. There is a lot of diversity - lots of women and POC working with lots of resources provided. (There is still a lot of men in higher positions, but it is noticable that Infosys is working to be more diverse in this regard)

Cons

Lots of people find the structure overwhelming and it can be hard to find out who your manager is or who to reach out to when you need help on something. However, everyone is eager to help so I have never had a problem that wasn't resolved. People say that the pay is low, but it is more money than I've ever had so I don't have the same perspective. Work/life balance is not great. I can take sick leave and vacations whenever I want no problem, but depending on the time/phase of a project I may be working 10+ hours a day for weeks on end.

Pros

Job stability – Infosys is known for long-term employment and steady projects. Strong brand value – Having Infosys on your resume adds credibility and global recognition. Good learning opportunities – Access to internal learning platforms, certifications, and training programs (especially for freshers). Global exposure – Opportunities to work with international clients and global delivery teams. Structured processes – Well-defined policies, documentation, and governance. Work-life balance (project dependent) – Many teams offer reasonable working hours. Employee benefits – Health insurance, paid leaves, and wellness initiatives. Safe and inclusive workplace – Strong focus on ethics, compliance, and diversity.

Cons

Salary growth can be slow – Compensation increments may be lower compared to market standards. Limited flexibility in role changes – Internal mobility and project switches can take time. Bureaucratic processes – Decision-making can be slow due to multiple approval layers. Project allocation delays – Bench time and delayed onboarding to projects can happen. Variable learning exposure – Skill growth depends heavily on the project assigned. Less innovation in some teams – Certain projects may use legacy technologies. Onsite opportunities are limited – Compared to earlier years, onsite roles are fewer. Performance appraisal transparency – Rating systems may feel rigid or unclear.
