Pros

I have enjoyed working at Ingredion for the last several years. The company is involved in many wonderful corporate citizenship / outreach activities throughout the world. I have had the opportunity to progress in my career in part due to the robust process that is in place for employee development. The financial performance of the organization has been very positive - despite the global economic situation. Management takes the long term view and is committed to the success of the company.

Cons

Happy with commitment to work life balance that is shown through 'Summer Hours' program at some locations. Could be even better by adding additional flexibility, including telecommuting as more of an option where possible.

Pros

401k match is best in class, RSU’s for Director levels and up, VP’s get stock options on top of RSU’s and if you work at corporate, there’s a barista on-site. Annual bonus usually exceeded your target bonus. Top notch pay and benefits.

Cons

It’s a soul sucking environment. Management touts all the best employer awards but the reality is there’s a revolving door of talent. It’s a beautiful corporate environment but you see floors of sad professionals huddled in hip-looking hotel cubes looking at endless Power BI dashboards or with earbuds sitting on a Teams call with other members two desks away. You’ve got an odd mix of 20 to 30 year tenured folks who have figured out the game of sticking around, running down the game clock and doing little impactful work mixed with early career folks with 2 to 3 year tenures who are happy to be with a Fortune 500, excited about free coffee and haven’t yet figured out that this company just hires a new consulting company every time they need a new direction. I was there four plus years and I saw at least 2 re-orgs. The pay and benefits are amazing until you realize the culture, people and mission is just not worth your time, energy or mental bandwidth.
