My overall experience with INNIO was mixed. The team and day-to-day working environment were positive, but my experience with the hiring and employment process was disappointing. The recruitment process was quite long and demanding. It included multiple interview rounds, a take-home assignment, technical discussions, team-fit interviews, and management interviews. The entire process took around 2-3 months, which felt lengthy compared to the outcome. After successfully completing the process, I accepted an offer because I was looking for a stable company with a good work-life balance. Unfortunately, close to the end of my probation period, I was informed that my role would be changed and that my compensation would also be reduced accordingly. Since the original agreement was not maintained, I decided not to accept the proposed changes, and my employment ended. My main concern is not the work itself or the people I worked with, but the way the role expectations and compensation were handled after joining. Changing the position and salary conditions at such a late stage created a loss of trust. My advice for future candidates would be to clarify: how the final job level/title is determined, whether the offered compensation is guaranteed, what happens if expectations change during probation, and any conditions related to bonuses or benefits. INNIO has many positive aspects, especially regarding work-life balance, but candidates should make sure they have a clear understanding of the role and compensation structure before accepting an offer.
