Pros
Nursing staff accountable and help each other.
Cons
Management can make or break your experience. I started with one manager who was more hands off and trusted us to do our jobs. A year or so into working there, a new manager came on who was a "micromanager" and had no understanding of the needs of nursing staff. I know some good nurses who voiced their frustration and disapproval and were basically forced out and labeled as not being "team players". It often feels as if advocating for patients does not take precedent over the bottom line of monetary productivity. Nursing staff run into the ground and not given the opportunity to take breaks. While many of the physicians are wonderful to work with, there are quite a few that expect nursing staff to do most of their work for them.
