Pros

Breakfast provided on Friday mornings

Cons

I worked at Insight a global for 7 months and it was not the position I signed up for. When they initially recruit you, they sell you on the account manager role. They tell you you’ll be building relationships with clients and getting a lot of time out and about. What they don’t tell you is that you enter as a recruiter. You job is to make as many phone calls a day to people who don’t want to talk to you. All of your calls are monitored and you have to turn in your call sheets and other required documentation at the end of every day. You will be judged on how you look and how many friends you make in the office. I have seen girls not get promoted solely based off of their physical appearance. I would not recommend working here. There are plenty of other staffing agencies to work at where they will pay you a lot more and treat you like a human being. At Insight Global, the base salary is ridiculously low (30K in Houston). You will only have 8 days of PTO a year and the benefits are dismal and expensive. Please explore other options if you are thinking about working here.

Pros

The individual contributors and the endless amounts of budget for campaigns tools and resources. A great place for marketing creatives looking to do just that, create.

Cons

Leadership served themselves, not their team. There's 0 structure with no marketing KPI measurement or revenue attribution to show the ROI. Everyone always seemed so busy but nothing was getting done to show the impact marketing had on the businesses bottom line. Not many wanted to do the work to build the department to any potential, half of marketing doesn't even work under marketing which promotes vast misalignment. Just resources begging to be used and a bleeding advertising budget. It has a ton of potential, but I watched the few who could have changed it all leave over the frustrations of leaders only concerned with their own self preservation.
