Benefits are too expensive on a weekly basis, they only match $250 per year for your 401k (regardless of how much you contribute), the base salary for an Account Manager is $44,000 and is $20-35k below the local Kansas City average for identical staffing AM roles, you don’t have access to the “stock” that YOU earn through milestones, and you pay out of pocket for customer expenses as an Account Manager (no company card to take that financial liability off young individuals shoulders).
The Kansas City office, specifically, has an extremely insane amount of toxicity and frat-like/sorority-like drama. There is 0 work-life balance. At times, management was encouraging coming in 1 hour early, skipping lunches, staying 1-2 hours after hours in order to hit goals (without 0 opportunity for Over Time pay). Local management doesn’t allow for challenging questions or professional feedback.
