Pros
These reviews have GOT it be fake. The only pro is realizing my worth and leaving. If you like crying everyday please by all means take this job
Cons
Insta leadership lead with fear because they are extremely unskilled and couldn’t lead a crumble out of a paper bag (will elude to firing you during training/ramp and actively fire people while they are ramping for not liking their “attitude” and struggling with ramp benchmarks). They expect you to grovel and thank them constantly for this opportunity. Any one not smiling and displaying extreme gratitude on one of their many unhelpful, last minute 6-7am “training” calls (every week, multiple times a week, by the way) is subject to being let go. “Maybe you’re not a good fit for Instawork” “maybe we’ll have to find someone better for the job” They WILL NOT listen to your advice or call outs and instead will constantly stack admin work on you and their already overworked employees. Since I have started they have fired half of the people I onboarded with. And a larger portion of people have quit. They hire in large troves to make up for turnover and this is not shown on Glassdoor because the gig labor temps are saturating the review space, but have totally different experiences outside corp walls. They expect you to work 12+ hours a day and actively discourage PTO or vacation time. Don’t worry about taking my word for it, they will be upfront about it. They force you to grovel for this job as if it isn’t extremely underpaid with extremely high expectations of their staff. You will be unsupported you will be asked to do 3 different jobs in 8 hours while they schedule 3-6 hours a day of unnecessary full participation calls on your calendar each week, on average.
