Pros

You definitely get a knowledge of community resources and laws more than any other agency could offer you, and the team you work with is really inspiring and collaborative.

Cons

Management does not share the same culture, and are disconnected with the work that is actually being done. Working more than 40 hours a week is a given, and the case load is far too high.

Pros

I have been with the team for approximately two months now, and I am happy to share that my experience has been very positive. Both my managers and coworkers have been incredibly supportive and helpful, creating a welcoming and collaborative work environment. I feel very grateful to the Institute on Aging for giving me the opportunity to join such a wonderful team.

Cons

I have not found any cons.

Pros

Great nonprofit mission, pleasant office location

Cons

Incompetent management, toxic personalities, and wasteful spending make this a dramatically unpleasant place to work. Stay away if you value your time and peace of mind.
