Pros

-The compensation packages are decent -- but they're designed to attract people all the way out to Acton and to retain talent within the company culture. -The new headquarters is nice. New building, good facilities.

Cons

-Silo-Focused. Everyone works in silos and most of the senior executive team seem to agree with keeping the culture as-is. It creates interdepartmental headaches, extra work, and animosity. Large, successful companies are not built in silos. -Short-Term Focused. The decision making is geared towards short-term (read: quarter-to-quarter) wins and appearing to increase market capitalization. Long-term sustainability (in all things -- corporate systems, business processes, human capital, succession planning, you name it...) isn't the true focus, no matter how much it is touted as a "priority". -Very top-heavy. There are more VPs, Sr. Directors, and Directors than you can possibly imagine. Most of the roles have been provided purely to attract and retain talent...some of the individuals do not have direct reports but are given titles of high-level executive leadership....or they manage a few individual contributors. -Extremely, extremely political environment. If you are in the cliche (read: nepotism), you are protected no matter what. In 5 years, I've seen this at all levels of job classification -- Entry all the way to Executive. -Do not believe the "positive" reviews on Glassdoor. The management team has given direction to leaders, on numerous occasions in the last couple years, to write positive reviews on Glassdoor to pump up the ratings. It's a shame.
