Depending on your department, hours range from 7 AM to 5 PM. Coworkers can be fun and they let you wear headphones while working if you want music or podcasts playing
Cons
Typical corporate capitalism. Do not value their workers at all. Underpaid, overworked, very run of the mill capitalist culture who value their profits over the well being of their employees. PTO is good but they pool it all together and act like it’s the grace of god. When you take vacation, be sure to not get sick because if you don’t have any leftover PTO you get written up for being sick and not going in. Department management can be really great or really bad, unfortunately there is certain departments that are notorious for having high turnover because of low pay and high labor, specifically the shipping department. The entire companies hiring structure is built through nepotism; you hire through referrals. Even up to upper management there is a lot of toxic power tripping, and the managers will do the typical corporate thing of calling everyone “family” and tell us to value our work, but you’re just a number. The work is monotonous and labor intensive. You DEFINITELY are being underpaid, a multi billion dollar company that gives terrible raises and mediocre bonuses for work that requires a lot of logistical, meticulous detail and experience. Very time sensitive, you need to be very fast to get everything shipped out on time, and if you don’t, you stay beyond operating hours which is usually everyday. Shipping management will literally tell you to not speak to one another because you will “lose focus and make mistakes” which is extremely condescending. They will threaten to write you up if you make mistakes; you ship out over 1200 medical instruments a week, mistakes WILL happen, but these weirdos like to manage like authoritarian fascists. In terms of diversity, it may vary dependent on location, but for the most part there’s a lot of different ethnicities and cultures. If you’re apart of the LGBTQIA+ community, DO NOT WORK HERE. They are not accepting at all, there’s so many people that are in the building at once that nobody is ever held accountable for the way they speak about others… SO MUCH GOSSIPING and cliques. I’ve never heard so much homophobia and transphobia in my life and HR is probably the most useless department in the building. There’s a big culture here of people openly being homophobic. In regards to HR, They walk around all day and do absolutely nothing while everyone else is working their butts off like they’re in a sweatshop/assembly line. Speaking on that, the work is extremely similar to an assembly line. If you’re familiar with data entry and logistics, that’s maybe 20 percent of the job while the other 80 percent is spent packing, shipping, making boxes, receiving shipments, organizing the shipping room, etc. Look for something else. You’re wasting your time here, and you’ll save energy dealing with the infighting and bad culture
