Pros
Decent pay, somewhat flexible schedule, moderate opportunities for advancement/specializations
Cons
I’ve never worked for a company that had so many issues paying employees.... often officers will not be paid for all hours worked or sometimes not paid at all. Management does not try to retain employees as they make more money for training new hires, so they want you to quit/get fired, the training center that officers have to go to once per year for refresher training is in WV, and the company will not offer per diem or a hotel to stay at for the duration of the refresher course, so that comes out of the officers pocket. Being held over last minute or being scheduled to work on an off day is a common occurrence. The company tries to cover up issues. The company as a whole does not value employees and places incompetent managers/supervisors in charge while overlooking violations of policy.
