Pros

Good for getting experience using equipment and a resume builder. Sometimes days would only last a couple hours and you get paid the same day rate.

Cons

I worked as a a Photographer a couple days a week on top of other work I did elsewhere, so it was manageable but I worked with people who did this full-time for a living. Not trying to be insulting, but I feel bad for them, or anyone else, who has to do this full-time simply because it's not a good job. Training was a joke if you even consider it training, you watch for a day and then they send you out on your own and expect you to know how to do everything. A lot of traveling (could be up to 2 hours a day, gas is paid for though) and hauling a lot of equipment sometimes by yourself. Software is relatively new so there was a lot of problems and you're stuck on your own to attempt to figure it out unless you can get ahold of one of the managers, though you usually can't because they're on the phone helping another Photographer out somewhere else with other or similar problems. On top of that the pay is awful, $10hr (maybe a dollar or 2 more depending on where you are). No room for advancement and taking pictures of kids just isn't a good time in general, but that's just my opinion of course! Even though I did this job for under a year and a few days a week, I was unbelievably happy when I left. But at the end of the day somebody has to do it, and they should be paid, treated and managed a lot better.

Pros

This has to be my favorite job I've ever done. Working here is never the same thing each day and it's very fulfilling work. Making people smile has to be the best job you could have. Depending on the day you could be done by noon. On longer days it could go til school gets out, closer to like 5

Cons

I wish it was year round and full-time. Pay was pretty decent at first but now it pays minimum wage. Mileage comp could be higher.
