Pros

Compensation is predictable and non-volatile. You're not subject to the whims of trading profit unlike banks and hedge funds. There is transparency in how they figure out compensation. The work environment is civilized, and you don't have the craziness and outsized personalities of trading firms. Technology is pretty good. They try to keep up with technology trends and try new things.

Cons

* There is tension between the NY and Atlanta offices with the center of gravity being Atlanta. This can be frustrating to NY employees because preference is given to ideas an developers there. No major projects started out of New York recently. * No work from home. Your manager might allow it, and HR might turn a blind eye. But officially, it is completely not allowed. * Stingy benefits. Less than customary amount of vacation. No personal days. They take your holidays and make 4 of them floating. Until very recently, rollover was not allowed at all. Maternity leave, for those who might need it, is less than standard.

Pros

Creative and dynamic company attempting to provide automation, transparency across complex markets. Lean org with minimal bureaucracy in attempt to be agile and mobile.

Cons

No hybrid model, 5 day in the office not in line with industry or general market.

Pros

Giant international corporation with unlimited resources. Multiple locations around the country and the globe with tons of jobs that are open for internal transfer (with some considerations). Generally high pay range.

Cons

Giant international corporations treat you as an unlimited resource. They use "Unlimited PTO" model for Sick and Vacation time, which I feel is a misnomer and a disingenuous concept as a whole. Unrealistic fixation on making employees use AI with no clear plan or direction on how it should happen.
