Thank you so much for your feedback, and for your commitment and service to Interface! We appreciate hearing about the areas that have been a positive impact on your employee experience, as many of these have been recently implemented over the past few years. We hear you on interdepartment communication -- this is why this has been our #1 priority since last year's Employee Engagement Survey. We are proud to hear from employees that this was our largest increase item YOY on this year's survey, but we recognize we still have a ways to go! We have rolled out an Internal Jobs Hub and all open roles are posted internally across the company to enable advancement opportunities for all employees. We would love to hear feedback from you on your other points, and encourage you to reach out to your respective People Partner to discuss in more detail. -Interface Systems People (HR) Team

Pros

1. The front line workers are fantastic. Most are willing to go above and beyond to get the job done, and pitch in when things go wrong (as they often did). 2. Many jobs can be done remote, which is great for families and employees 3. Health care was very good and low cost for employees

Cons

1. There was an incredible amount of micro-managing 2. Metrics consumed a good part of your day, but rarely added much value 3. Project managers viewed as glorified administrators, and were often the scape goat when things went wrong.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you had a positive experience with your coworkers, benefits, and remote work flexibility. We’re sorry to hear other parts of your experience did not meet expectations. Your comments around process, communication, metrics, and support for project managers are valuable and will be shared with the appropriate leadership teams for review.
