Pros
The pay is good Plenty of mills, so great opportunity to move around Quick advancement into management
Cons
There is a micro-manage mentality, so you are better off just waiting for someone to tell you what to do with the area that you manage If you have an engineering degree, chances are you will not use much of your degree and you will be pushed into management (this is bad because the longer you work as a manager, the less appealing you begin to look as an engineer if you plan on using your degree at some point) There is not a good mentor program for new engineers The money is good, but it is easy to get blinded by it... the longer you stay the more you make, so when you decide that it is not for you & you want to move on... chances are you will have to take a pay cut to do so
