      A lot of good hands-on skills generated for people who have taken the traditional path of education. There's a lot of different niches within a paper mill that you'd never know you could be apart of.

      Work-life balance. Your schedule can flip in a heartbeat No good way for career progression if you stay technical

      Used to be well respected in the area and stable. Decent severance.

      Cons

      No longer stable. Outsourced IT department in maintenance mode. Two consecutive years of major layoffs and countless plant closures. No advancement opportunities anymore.
