Pros

-Knowing that you're helping vulnerable people get better lives is a really amazing feeling. So great job satisfaction! -The employee benefits are great such as medical, dental and leave - Met some amazing colleagues and people while working here

Cons

- The management is horrendous. They have their own click and if they don't like you they will make your life so bad that you want to leave. - Managers do not offer guidance. Instead, they prefer to send nasty emails and warnings constantly and make employees feel worthless. - The management also talk bad about you and say nasty things about even after you have left the company. - No priority on mental health of caseworkers who day in and day out work in extremely hard and stressful situations. - Expats get paid a lot more and get extra benefits to do jobs that local people could easily do which could be seen as race thing. - No development of staff and very toxic working environment.

Pros

It was a meaningful experience. The NYSA projects felt purposeful, and it was rewarding to create materials that supported programs for youth. The team was supportive, and I had opportunities to contribute to real projects. It was a great place to build experience while making a positive impact. My manager made this internship an amazing learning experience. Even though I was just an intern, he gave me regular, honest feedback and treated my development as a priority. He was generous with career advice, always approachable, and willing to help with anything I needed. I grew a lot professionally thanks to his mentorship, and I'd recommend this internship to anyone who wants to learn from great leadership.

Cons

The internship was unpaid. While the experience was valuable and meaningful, financial compensation would have made the opportunity much more accessible and sustainable for interns.
