The IRMI Executive Team recently made a change in our work from home policy that we believe is best for the company over the long term (requiring two days in the office instead of one). The decision was based on many factors. We did consider the impact on employees but concluded it was best for the company. Obviously, this colleague isn’t happy with the change. We wouldn’t have earned the distinction of being a “best place to work in Dallas” if we did not listen to our employees and “take their feedback to heart.” But that doesn’t mean we must do everything every employee wants us to do. Sometimes it is necessary to make decisions that are in the best interest of the company or the group as a whole rather than for individual employees. That’s exactly what happened here.
