Pros

IB offers a casual work environment and friendly people. The company allows for some flexibility with hours and is willing to teach you. There is also a ping pong table in the lunch room.

Cons

The company does not value employees unless they are senior management or above. The pay is way below average as well as the raises. The company has a very high turnover rate and would rather replace employees with less expensive people thus not a place to build a career unless you start high up. The office and lunch room are not well kept and the fridge is not sanitary. There is also a lack of privacy and offices. The insurance contribution is also higher then most companies.

Pros

At FindLaw, a division of Internet Brands, they do a good job of hiring people and the lower-level managers treat you with respect. When you get laid off, they do offer a severance package.

Cons

Internet Brands is a company that is in business only to make money. They pay lip service to developing talent and promoting from within, but do not actually sponsor any programs within the company to achieve this. Since purchasing FindLaw in December 2024, we have conducted several rounds of layoffs, with U.S. writers being let go and replaced by writers in Mexico and Manila who are trained in AI and paid less. The fact that their maximum 401K match is .75% (not a misprint, less than 1%) tells you everything you need to know about how little they value their employees.
