Pros

Can start a career here, albeit at a low salary. Company has a lot of young people also starting their careers. Laid back work environment Ability to work on personal projects to improve your personal skill set.

Cons

Pay is well below going market rates and the review process can be drawn out. High turnover rate, people get their experience and leave for higher pay. Recruitment can be a slow process after an employee leaves, probably due to non-competitive offers, and other employees must do the work while the position is empty. No bonuses, and really no perks besides normal health benefits.

Pros

At FindLaw, a division of Internet Brands, they do a good job of hiring people and the lower-level managers treat you with respect. When you get laid off, they do offer a severance package.

Cons

Internet Brands is a company that is in business only to make money. They pay lip service to developing talent and promoting from within, but do not actually sponsor any programs within the company to achieve this. Since purchasing FindLaw in December 2024, we have conducted several rounds of layoffs, with U.S. writers being let go and replaced by writers in Mexico and Manila who are trained in AI and paid less. The fact that their maximum 401K match is .75% (not a misprint, less than 1%) tells you everything you need to know about how little they value their employees.
