Pros

PTO is generous from the start.

Cons

Where to begin? The C-Suite are so disengaged from the workers. Some locations have decent offices, perks, etc. but Arlington Heights, IL is a slum. This location has a different set of rules than other locations and even office management are treated like grammar school kids. Cant eat or drink at your desk (due to rodents), equipment and office furniture are ancient and falling apart. Except of course for the executive suite which has beautiful new furniture, coffee maker, etc. The exec admin has a larger office than most CEO's. Final slap in the face.....Last week when Chicago had one of the worst winter storms in history (over a ft of snow and -55 wind chill), yet all lab and office employees were expected to come into work. Some dept. managers didn't succumb to this ridiculous requirement and allowed employees to work remote, while others went along with the office management. We were told in a group e-mail to make sure to bring blankets and have a full tank of gas...WOW! Asking employees to risk their lives in extremely hazardous conditions to come into work just to make sure the money keeps coming in. A safety company that doesn't care at all about their own employees safety. Pathetic!

Pros

Good group of people in local office.

Cons

Stuck in the past. Unwilling to consider updating methods or procedures. "We've done it this way for 30 years and it has worked." Sales relies upon project engineers to do most of their work for them. When volume of work is slow that becomes the engineers responsibility to go find new clients. Can't reliably pay the most basic of utility bills on time. I've seen the power cut off 2x and the gas this past winter.
