Pros
Working with knowledgeable and friendly colleagues. Some flexibility...although the noose is being tightened.
Cons
Micromanagement of staff. Non proactive management. They would rather bury their heads in the sand or sweep problems under the carpet rather than dealing with them. This leaves staff feeling undervalued and disrespected. Expected to be flexible on their terms, but don't share the same interest when staff stay behind out of their own time to rescue or deal with a scenario, no recognition for doing so. Opportunities for the select few. Yearly employee progression & annual growth targets are set. But they are never approached or handled in a way that encourages employee growth and satisfaction. Irregular rise of inflation over the years. Current costs capped at 2%, albeit the rise of inflation significantly outweighing this metric. Although the CEO receives a considerable bonus payment for his troubles?
