Cons
"Re-org season." It's a well known fact that there's a shuffling of the deck chairs that starts at mid-year and culminates with bigger changes in the August timeframe. There's also a culture of "promoting the talkers" as opposed to the "doers" in some departments. There's not a ton of mobility for folks in the central functions (marketing/comms) despite having the chops to go into the BU. There's also a flattening of the title banding that's frustrating...meaning the title bands are a mile wide, so a person with 6 years experience could be a manager, as could someone with 10 years experience.
