Pros

Lots of opportunity for technically challenging work. Variety of tax situations because of geographically diverse client base. Talented community of colleagues and sense of teamwork. Intuit is an excellent remote-work employer. Every aspect of the remote work experience (from receipt of laptop/equipment, through onboarding and online collaboration tools) has truly been first rate. Ample opportunities for training and professional development. Very good immediate manager. Senior leadership seems strong as well.

Cons

The service area I work in (Full Service) still seems to be finding its market niche (e.g. who are the ideal/target clients who will most benefit from the experience we can provide). As a result, some frustrations develop for me as a tax professional attempting to manage client expectations particularly as it relates to preparation timelines, etc. I appreciate that Intuit is very focused on quality of returns prepared. The challenge is often in balancing this very-necessary quality focus with client expectations. I expect that this will evolve over time as the Full Service offering continues to mature. Compensation - While it's undoubtedly competitive when compared to "retail" preparation services who we compete with, at the same time it can be low considering the technically complex (and interesting) tax situations presented by our clients.

Pros

Amazing benefits and good people

Cons

Culture has shifted drastically. The expectation now is do more for less. What used to be above and beyond is now just achieving expectations. You're expected to absorb the work of everyone let go. You do 4 peoples' jobs, but the concept of promotions or pay raises is out of the question. Trust from customers and employees toward leaders is completely broken. The only prosperity being powered is the prosperity of shareholders and investors.
