Pros

Benefits (medical, retirement, bonuses) in line with industry. Time off in line with industry. Easy to move from business unit to business unit.

Cons

No ethics - everything from leaders covering up product issues to the recent ProPublica articles to sketchy hiring practices like calling long term employees "seasonal" to avoid paying benefits. No respect for tax or other subject matter experts, either in decision making or pay. Incredibly sexist culture, a man can literally repeat a woman's suggestion word for word and get immediate credit and traction. Leaders aren't competent as leaders, raises/bonuses/promotions are not data based, solely on VP opinions and emotions. Non-data backed decision making - can get whiplash watching leaders change their minds, resulting in huge pivots in strategy that make no sense. When I left, I was replaced by THREE people, but while there couldn't get any help or increased pay.

Pros

Benefits are amazing, medical insurance, vision and dental. Company match on 401K and volunteer time off.

Cons

They keep making decisions to outsource jobs to contract workers who don't share the same value in training or customer care. Oh they say they do but when you catch the listening to music so loud you can't hear the customer, or literally snoring on the line they can't do anything because of the way the contracts are set up. It is up to the contract company and the contract company just needs warm bodies. They did not even supply enough people doing our busiest season this year to co or the shifts that were required in the contract. So good luck with that. They will always eventually lay you off.
