Pros

Well known asset manager. Various investment vehicles and strategies. Great environment and coworkers. Nice office.

Cons

Poor training for new hires. Too many over lapping products. Lack of support and long turn around times for simple tasks. Lacking advisor/team/office sales data(especially for RIA team). Upper management focused on growing firm by purchasing other companies rather than focusing on offerings and leveraging sales team to grow AUM. Top management out of touch with no communication with those in the field. It was so bad at one point after the acquisition with Oppenheimer that no one on the sales team has any idea of what systems to use for simple things such as CRM, phone systems, voicemails, marketing materials, etc. so they just asked the teams to not do anything except for answer incoming calls from angry advisors, this went on for months. CEO was given a massive pay raise after a bad year that saw AUM drop dramatically, sales force jump ship in droves, and brand tarnished post a terrible transition after acquisition while at the same time based sales force compensation on those same things.
