Pros

It's a large company but it retains its agility. When you're known the entire organisation will line up to support you. But you have to work to get known. You really are in charge of your own career.

Cons

The way Investec is structured and the way work is approached really is quite different to most UK firms which can leave new starters feeling a bit disorientated.

there was little training for the intern position, so come prepared with some finance skills, just the basics
