Not what they say it is - Anonymous employee Invitae Employee Review

They say they have a transparent culture but don't be fooled. There is a shadow culture of politics, anonymous sniping and things you are "supposed to know because they are assuming everyone is an adult" and it's all fostered by this weird, homegrown system that tracks everyone you interact with and asks you to complete meaningless surveys and give feedback on peers constantly. It's unclear what is done with all this feedback except to allow grudge matches to flourish and no real human interaction on performance. There are no titles so it's easy to pass people around from team to team when people don't perform. As time goes on things will keep stagnating here and really good people are already jumping ship.
