Pros

The turn over is high, you can always get a job and earn a paycheck. "Upscale" restuarant job.

Cons

Due to bad management one club already closed in the area yet the management still doesn't understand there is NOT enough entertainment value for the dollars spent for dues. No program to attract younger members and junior members. The management caused a great deal of dissention among staff and members because of a lack of integrity and organization: often changed course last minute (had no preplan). Manager had No long term strategic plan and even said he could not handle the thought of one.

Pros

Strong work-life balance compared to public accounting. Leadership is supportive and approachable. The work is meaningful and provides exposure to ASC 740, multi-entity tax provision work, and corporate tax compliance. Employees are generally encouraged to collaborate and help each other succeed.

Cons

Compensation growth may lag behind opportunities available in some areas of public accounting. Advancement opportunities can be limited due to a relatively lean tax department structure. Some processes remain heavily dependent on spreadsheets and manual workflows, which can create inefficiencies during busy periods.
