Pros

Some market-leading technologies in the ever-growing stack Decent work/life balance A lot of smart people work there Strong marketing department

Cons

One of the worst sales organisations. Culture is absolutely horrendous unless you're a) based in Utah or b) your job is anything other than sales and SE's. Terrible communication between executives, mid-level managers and sellers. Always waiting for answers to basic questions that directly impact your ability to sell. Senior management toil over minutia whilst turning a blind eye to the big picture...like how to stop the revolving door from spinning so fast. Too many acquisitions of products that don't mesh well. Sellers lack the ability to focus. Ivanti will continue gobbling up more companies (stated mission), and each time it's like their first time doing it....Lessons go unlearned, chaos ensues, basic questions go unanswered for months. Heat purchase had everyone scratching their heads and created more confusion and uncertainty. But lucky for you, Mr Salesman, they didn't account for any post-acquisition uncertainty in your 2017 sales plan. They simply took your quota from last year and increased it by 50% or more to control costs and ensure there's not a snowball's chance in hell of you hitting your number. Zero transparency....Not a single second was spent reviewing last year's numbers at sales kickoff in January....no overview of 2016 revenue vs target for each product/company, percent change from the previous year, what our sales objectives are for each product this year and as a company overall....Obviously we didn't hit the numbers last year but shouldn't leadership share the basics? Just swept it under the rug like we didn't care or didn't notice by unveiling a brand new Ivanti logo from behind a curtain...then tried to motivate the team by talking about the (totally inorganic) growth of Ivanti via acquisition. That'll get the sellers revved up!! Quotas under the new Ivanti brand are unattainable at best and insulting at worst. They'd make your great-granddaddy role over in his grave. As for the micromanagement... Get ready for end of quarter when for the final 12 days you're sat on a 2 hour call with the entire sales and executives to go over your quarter end business. Isn't the job of the sales managers to "manage up" so the sellers can go out and....hmmm...sell something?? Not at Ivanti, where mid level managers aren't to be trusted. (We must go to the source!) On these meaningless daily calls some of the "yes man" managers throw their underlings under the bus to save a little face. It's quite a pathetic spectacle and exemplifies the "belittling" sales culture they seem to be so proud to have created. Furthermore - try not to suffocate from the incredible amount of internal paperwork that corporate will heave upon you on a regular basis. If you want Big Brother breathing down your neck with all the unnecessary extracurricular work, you've come to the right place. Just be aware that if you join Ivanti you'll have two full time jobs: One is to sell software and the other is to manage all the internal BS that'll be tossed your way. Anyone who works in the sales org knows exactly what this means.

Pros

Flexibility of schedule, PTO is good

Cons

Code base is a dumpster fire. The majority of the team is in India and the engineers there don't really care or know anything about writing good code. Management is screaming AI, AI, AI and expecting a huge increase in productivity but meanwhile I'm fighting my environment every day because someone has broken master with their crappy code.
