Pros
Good at being mediocre at everything
Cons
This company is everything a company shouldn't be- poor operations, no visibility, constant layoffs and spineless VPs. They expect you to pull miracles and solve problems while they sit and do nothing than talk to each other about their kids and go on lunches. But don't worry- you wont get any funding or support because none of them want to make an actual difference or accept that there is a problem. What makes it worse is the blatant preference to a certain religious community, making it a god awful boys' club (no pun intended). If you go to the same church, you will always be protected from layoffs, you can get away with doing absolutely nothing and you will gain access to super confidential information. If not, you will probably be met with fake smiles and a dull, stifling and frustrating work environment. Of course, no one will admit that there's a boys club and HR will do nothing about anything you tell them either. I have never seen dysfunction at this level anywhere else. If you have a voice and an opinion, they will push you out, because they don't like hearing the truth. The culture is a blame culture- Directors, VPs will have no issues pushing you under the bus, even though they sit on issues and do nothing to correct. Sales and Services are probably the worst teams to work with- led by equally talentless people. And you can forget any career advancement- you'd be lucky if you have the job you have in a year with rampant layoffs because the company is circling the drain. Take my advice- don't listen to the sweet talk, keep your sanity and walk far away from this terrible excuse of a company.
