Pros

Good first job, flexible schedule, work from home setting

Cons

Heavy workload, always expecting to be available 24/7. Sure, there are paid leaves but they still contact you to work. Too difficult to ask for overtime pay since you'll get blamed for why some tasks were not done on time. Obviously, it's because of the overloaded work. Extremely low pay and exploitation of labor for some offices in Asia since those have lower labor costs. Unable to provide a salary increase for the employees because of multiple failed investments. Management will only feed you toxic positivity just to cover up their labor exploitation and failed investments.

Pros

At the beginning, I had stable work and didn’t have to worry about making ends meet. Iyuno was enough as my main income, and I could live comfortably.

Cons

Over time, my workload was gradually reduced without any explanation, despite having five years of experience and consistently high-quality work. I was effectively replaced by new translators while being kept in the dark. This has left me uncertain about my future, and unfortunately, I can no longer rely on Iyuno as a primary source of income. After years of dedication and turning down other opportunities to stay loyal, this outcome is very disappointing.

Thank you for your feedback and for the years you contributed as a freelance subtitler. We value the expertise and commitment of our freelance community and are sorry to hear this was your experience. Work volumes in our industry can shift based on client demand, language needs, and project mix. That said, we recognize that changes without clear communication can be frustrating, especially for long-standing contributors. We expect our teams to engage with freelancers respectfully and transparently, and we do not support practices that leave contributors feeling overlooked or disregarded. Your feedback highlights an area where we must continue to improve. Iyuno values quality, experience, and professionalism, and we do not reduce opportunities based on individuals raising questions or concerns. Thank you again for sharing your perspective. We wish you continued success.
