Pros

The people I’ve talked to who can work a hybrid schedule or fully remote seem to really like it. Your coworkers are either very competent and nice to collaborate with or people who need to be retrained and are only employed because they’ve just been with the company for a while. Interesting projects to work on. In-office culture is okay. The company overall is pretty stable, so probably no more layoffs going into this recession.

Cons

Unfortunately it seems like some actually competent people were laid off and some not-so-competent people still remain. Communication can be inconsistent. Mergers and acquisitions make for messy and inconsistent workflows. Training is all over the board and inconsistent on multiple teams in different departments. The pay is lower than the competition, which has lead to some talented people leaving the company for higher salaries. Getting a raise is not gonna happen for the majority of people outside of the baby raise most people get every two years which is laughably low. It’s frustrating to hear upper management, VPs and the CEO try to downplay the salary issue when it’s a very legitimate concern for employees. Why stay at a company that’s overworking you and underpaying compared to the competition? Especially in Los Angeles/Burbank area where the cost of living is prohibitively expensive. That’s a great way to have your best employees quit, get burnt out or get poached. Morale over different departments has been steadily declining.

Pros

At the beginning, I had stable work and didn’t have to worry about making ends meet. Iyuno was enough as my main income, and I could live comfortably.

Cons

Over time, my workload was gradually reduced without any explanation, despite having five years of experience and consistently high-quality work. I was effectively replaced by new translators while being kept in the dark. This has left me uncertain about my future, and unfortunately, I can no longer rely on Iyuno as a primary source of income. After years of dedication and turning down other opportunities to stay loyal, this outcome is very disappointing.
