Pros

-Almost every piece of software you can imagine is available to you, including AI -Most Associates and above get 4 weeks paid vacation plus bank holidays -Industry leader in banking technology -Challenging work environment teaches you to quickly hone your social engineering skills to get work done

Cons

-Almost no collegial atmosphere due to the vast workload, it's always the next sprint, next release, next initiative. -Standing out amongst your fellow employees from a performance perspective seems to be only the beginning of steps to get promoted. If you don't network or directly get seen by senior leaders due to some extraordinary effort or initiative, you won't move up. -New Return to Office policies are outdated and even archaic for tech workers. If we're on zoom even while in the office, and we work long hours to meet deadlines that make the company money, then what's the point of the additional burden? Hybrid, fine. 5 days in office is just punitive.

Pros

1. One of the best banks, heavy on tech and AI, that makes my life simple 2. Bonus is consistent every year 3. The company is highly social and multicultural. 4. A lot of training program to upskill and develop.

Cons

1. A lot of administrative items to take care of, a significant portion is spent on meetings, meetings are called to establish an agenda for next meetings, and so on. 2. Layoffs, all year round- sometimes significant, while in the middle of delivery. If your manager is off-site/ another city/country, you are more likely to be impacted. 3. Departments may have skewed gender or racial ratios. It is best to stay away to avoid discrimination (to be fair, this has less to do with culture and more to do with who the head of the department is).
