Pros
Under the wings of Basin and Shaw, JBS had its ups and downs as all federal contractors do. However, the environment thrived, teams were happy for the most part. But they retired, new leadership and new owners and the happiness waned.
Cons
Little to no oversight to support or correct work product. Teams became too large to manage properly and teams were so top heavy that support staff was swallowed up. Morale is down and stretches across the entire agency. Vice presidents are the main driver of that morale loss. I was hired back to the organization after being gone for a year. I started on a Monday to learn that my supervisor split the previous Friday. I had someone to sign my timesheets and give me a list of responsibilities. Now, I'm a self started so this worked ok for a time but as I got more proficient in my responsibilities, there was no one to give me more.
