Pros
Great as a second job, or for someone who needs a few extra hours and doesn't mind working more on the weekends and less during the week. Never a dull moment. Freedom of creativity. Opportunities to have your work showcased. Great coworkers, flexible hours. Tuition reimbursement. Learn a lot about lighting and photography techniques.
Cons
No opportunities for advancement. I was offered a position as assistant manager, but the offer was later revoked because of insufficient hours. Appointments book every 10 minutes, meaning you get strictly 10 minutes in the camera room with each guest, no wiggle room, no matter the situation. It is blatantly greedy of corporate to herd people in and out like sheep, and you will take the heat for it. Prices are getting cheaper and cheaper, and quality is lowering in turn.
