Pros

Total compensation (although market has caught up) PTO policy is generous

Cons

Diversity in management and above is terrible, promotion practices should be investigated No career growth plans - people have been in same position for decades (not over exaggerating) No exploration opportunities IT is a mess - theres no vision, no alignment with business Base pay could be more competitive Instead of allowing people to explore, management says “hey go get this certification” before you know it youre 3 certifications in with no real world execution experience Culture is long gone and forgotten, only buzz words Yearly reviews are a joke, based on favoritism. Not a great place at all for people under 40

Pros

JM provides good opportunities for the range of professional corporate occupations available in South Florida.

Cons

Too much "get along, go along" culture which may be okay if one is planning to stay with JM through retirement, but is not helpful if one's career progression involves employment with other companies. As a rule, the best places I worked at encouraged creativity, systems thinking, adaptability, integrity, and trust. These values felt lacking during my six-month tenure at JM back in 2014.
