Pros

Good work and life balance. People are typically friendly.

Cons

RTO was reinstated with bad communication (we found out through the news) and you will be forced to commute even if your team is not co-located with you. Coworkers of mine who were hired as remote were made to in-office, forcing them to move their entire family. You will still have to pay for parking / food at their cafeterias. Compensation will be lesser than if you joined a tech-firm doing the same work. Advancing your career will require you to 'jump ship' in-between different financial companies. It is very hard to advance normally. AI adoption is a must (which makes sense for MY job) but it's to the point where our annual performance is based on how much AI we use.

Pros

Benefits package is great I enjoy my teammates

Cons

Inconsistent mangers, except a couple. They blow off important meetings, don't respond to issues, it's always "we will circle back to this next week." I've worked under 8 or 9 managers in 7 years. Systems are completely unreliable and constantly going down. The expectations are unreasonable, I have been coached negatively for going above and beyond (crazy because most employers strive to provide the best service for their customers) Depending on department, no room for advancement. I also cross trained in 5 new skills with zero pay increase. It's an okay job if you are just looking for a check, not a career.
