Pros

There were no pros. When JPO tried to expand to DC, I had the worst working experience ever. I was promoted and hired to my position out of training and was thrown a bunch of responsibilities that I had to fight to get paid fairly for and I still was offered less than what was posted for my position. We never ever had what we needed to perform our jobs and if we did it was sparce. I've spent my own money to help the company grow and was never properly reimbursed and we were expected to use Uber to deliver and serve our menus

Cons

Nothing but cons. I've spent my own money to provide for staff and service and was never reimbursed. I had to fight to be paid fairly and I was still under paid. I never received any items or equipment that we needed even after meeting directly with ownership. I was harassed and antagonized by both chefs they hired and my staff would wait hours to end their shift if I didn't order an Uber with my own money. A significant management structure was never there and all the so called managers managed from NYC via phone instructions they gave me to implement. I literally ran that place only to be fired because I was finally just burned out. Before I burned out I was just gaslighted.

Pros

Not being unemployed in this economy. Free coffee

Cons

No direct deposit, late and sometimes bounced checks, short staffed often, unfulfilled debts to suppliers that effect inventory, no praise or compensation for going over and beyond to fix unavoidable issues, guest-facing staff that doesn’t speak English, no company culture, management will not stand up for you when you’re mistreated. No room for growth or pay increase even after years of employment. Oh and they’ll demote you for speaking up about how you’re treated.
