Pros

Access to good quality design software from global license. Engineering procedures, and standards are well established (mostly from Jacobs side) Other than that; not much to write about for the present status of the Company. It used to be an excellent place of work before taking over SKM.

Cons

Lost most of the good managers, engineers and designers for the original Jacobs side. Not a suitable company now to execute large projects. The systems like IT, phone, payroll are horrible. Managers will hound if you do not have billable work. The work space is tiny with small desk and storage space and looks like call centre instead of Engineering company. The company is divided along the line of ex SKM and original Jacobs. It continued to operate like two different competing companies long after the acquisition. Lots of of internal politics and not much opportunity for working in different groups due to strong silo mentality.

Pros

Love the culture and the people.

Cons

The health insurance no longer covers GLP-1 or other weight-loss related medications (specifically excludes them), which I find appalling. They did cover it, but then removed coverage for all company plans. The benefits of weight-loss and obesity-related medical coverage are so high for employers and yet Jacobs decided not to care about their employees who need them.
