Pros

Hours are great and flexible. Compensation is great for interns and co-ops. Project engineering and ultimately project management roles are easier to acquire than at larger firms.

Cons

Company culture is at times too lax. Post graduate degrees for most engineering positions aside from top technical positions are not necessary. Therefore, your pay even with a Masters or P.E. does not reflect the going rate for the industry.
