I felt like a commodity. Used, abused then left. - Associate Principal Engineer Jacobs Employee Review

Pros

Paid on time but not much more to be happy about.

Cons

No loyalty, promotion based on thickness of knee pads. When the company started out you needed a scientific or engineering degree. But as time went on and they had to hire more of their former customers (who did not have such degrees) the real scientists and engineers got the shaft because they could pay their customers less (since they had government pensions) and then turn around to the real scientists and engineers and say, "well these other guys are satisfied".

Pros

Decent culture, individual contributors are fine, management is lacking

Cons

The company operates like many smaller companies depending on which business market you are in so your experience will vary. For some, it's the best company, others will say it's the worst; it just depends on your region/group even at the local level. Water/wastewater is a good market in most offices, transportation is hit an miss depending on location.
