Pros

What keeps me going is the 9 day fortnight system the office has adopted. Knowing that every other week is only 4 doors makes me quite happy.

Cons

Where do I begin ? On the surface and in some areas Jacobs is a fantastic company, unfortunately due to the number of smaller companies that have been purchased there are some cracks within the machine. The lack of integration of some of the purchased companies into the main Jacobs' system really lets things down. It can seem very fragmented when people refer to the old companies that existed before Jacobs purchased them. Sometimes communication isn't always that great and it can be difficult to find out the basics. There are different company intranet systems which can be confusing. There's also a lack of consistency across the group with regards to how people are treated. Jacobs employees can share an office building yet be given widely differing packages and opportunities - this boils down to the part of Jacobs they joined and the relating historic legacies.
